Buxales, tough plants ...

Buxales

The Buxales have 2 families with about 100 species. This small order consists of evergreen trees and shrubs whose wood is exceptionally hard. The flowers are usually small and inconspicuous, and the ornamentation of the plants consists of their evergreen ground cover, or geometric box hedges and spherical shapes. These tough plants are now threatened by pests in Europe, so there is an increasing tendency to look for flexible or binding alternatives.
