Dilleniales are native to the tropics and subtropics, and are sometimes cultivated as houseplants. Hibbertia and Dillenia are climbing lianas and woody trees respectively, and they are notable for their very harmonious-looking flowers and leaves. The order consists of one family with about 300 to 400 species.
