Plants in this order often produce fruit with a peculiar shape, similar to that of a stork’s beak. The plants are mostly used for decoration, and grow reliably on the balcony due to the fact that they need very little water. In addition to their use as flower decorations, their tannins and geranium oil help to heal when viruses and bacteria have caused damage. This small order contains about 800 species.
