Gunnerales, plants with imposing foliage ...

Gunnerales

The order Gunnerales includes 2 families with 40 species. The giant rhubarb leaves are cultivated in large parks, and in protected conditions during the winter. They impress with their imposing foliage, and their stems host blue-green algae which can significantly increase their nitrogen consumption. The other family, Myrothamnaceae, consists of small shrubs in Africa that produce resins.
