Santalales or antibioses ...

Santalales

Many plants of the Santalales order are common in the tropics and subtropics, and are parasites. While some are full-fledged parasites, they are mostly hemiparasites like the mistletoe, which obtain nutrients from their host plants but also perform photosynthesis or energy production themselves. Mistletoe and the sandalwood tree are examples.
